Steven (Ralph)'s Story

Steven (Ralph) is from Hillsdale, Wyoming. His schools include Crook, Ovid, later Revere when Ovid and Sedgwick schools combined. I lettered in wrestling while at Revere. My wrestling career ended when we moved to Sterling. The competition was a lot more intense, OK, I get that when you move from a 2A school to a 3A, but I went from 145 lbs to 165lbs and I was thin. I had no weight to lose!! Attended Sterling High, Greeley Central High School. He later attended Aims Community College and UNC. He worked at Weld County Sheriff's Office 1980-1992 and for the State at PlatteValley Youths Service Center 1999-2012. Prior to getting hired on with the State, I was a Nation wide certified EMT. I have been to the East Coast and West Coast and I have yet to see the ocean. I participated as an Indian extra in the Centennial TV mini series. I was supposed to read for a part later in the series, but I did not want to wait. I thought I was careful in not showing my face, so to speak, but when the time came it turns out I did have too much exposure. And I was an indian extra in the Movie" Mountain Men" with Charlton Heston. I was in the movie " Every Whic...Expand for more
h Way But Loose" - this was a weekend thing to do while the Centennial crew was back east filming. It took the whole weekend to film the one fight scene. Any old Bronco fans remember Bobby Anderson? He was in the fight crowd with us. And I was in one documentary film about Custer's last stand, titled, It's a Good Day to Die. What a thrill to see your name in the credits. I had a poem published about a girl at GCHS and THE POEM IS ON DISPLAY at Greeley Central. The book is titled "Famous Poets of the Heartland" I have always wanted to write short stories/poems. The girl named Kay received her copy of the poem book at her 40th high school reunion. I really enjoyed SHS and I wished I had graduated there. Then, the poem would not have been written. Things happen for a reason.🙄 I can thank Miss J.Lemmon(English teacher at Sterling) for letting me write short stories for extra credit. Thank you Ms Lemmon. My hobbies include photography (Amature) and reading, mostly history. If one is confused about my name it is Steven Rodriguez Brave. But I go by Steven Rodriguez. One of Steven's favorite quotes is: If it is not Broken Don't Fix It!"
